Maria do Mar Guinle
Maria do Mar Guinle is an art advisor based in Paris. Over the last fifteen years, she became a reference for Brazilian contemporary art abroad working closely with collectors, artists, and curators in producing exhibitions and showing Brazilian art.
After studies in International Relations at Tufts University and Art History at the Sotheby’s Institute and the Courtauld Institute in London, Maria do Mar started curating and producing exhibitions focused on Brazilian contemporary art . Between 2011-2016, Maria do Mar founded and managed MdM Gallery, the only gallery specialized in Brazilian contemporary art in France. She has recently developed her advisory activities assisting private clients in building and managing their collections, artists in their development projects and creating editorial content. In 2018 she was the Brazilian VIP representative for the FIAC. Maria do Mar has been an active member of the Friends of the Centre Pompidou since 2009 and has recently joined it’s research group Mission Recherche.
